Sprucing up your space for a season change doesn't have to cost a fortune. Here are a few tried & true ways you can incorporate the coziness of the fall season into your home this year for very little or no money at all! Turn on your favorite "Cozy Autumn" playlist & let’s get into it.

Bring the outdoors indoors - One of the best things fall has to offer is the colorful landscape. The warm colorway outside from early October to mid November is exactly what we mirror indoors with decor so...go outside, find the best tree in your yard (I don't recommend stealing from anyone elses lol) & safely snag a few branches with colorful leaves off of it. Toss them in a vase & boom. This one is totally free & it really doesn't get anymore autumn than the real thing. If your neighbor's tree is cooler than yours, bribe them with a baked good. It's the most effective way to convince them to play along in your charade....so I've heard.

Pumpkin jar with candied anything - We're not really candy people but we do love a good snack mix & we reaaaaallllyyy love these maple coated pecans I make each fall. Think of your favorite dry fall snack (something that won't easily stale) & toss it into a seasonal jar. I snagged this glass pumpkin jar recently with the intent of making up a bunch of maple sugar nuts to toss in so we can snack on them throughout the entire fall season. Housing them in something that's fun to look at just romanticizes things for you & we're all about that around here. *See my Maple Candied Pecans recipe here

Etsy Art - This one requires a little more of a game plan but again, it's a very affordable way to elevate your space this fall. Hop on Etsy & use key words+"prints" for whatever your seasonal vibe is. "moody fall" "halloween" "cozy autumn" are all good places to start. There you'll find access to purchasing an endless amount of downloadable prints ranging from about $1.00-$6.00. Some are bundles of multiple photos so that's fun! Snag a few picture frames from your local thrift store or shop your own home for frames you already have on hand & assess what sizes you'll need. Once you know what photos you want in certain frames, head to your nearest photo print shop (CVS is great for this) & voila! Since the initial costs of the download from Etsy is so cheap & printing at places like CVS is also affordable, this truly keeps the cost of this venture way down.

Simmer Pot - Not a new concept but maybe you needed reminding that something this simple & inexpensive can change the entire feel of your home. I use my favorite Great Jones Dutch Oven for this one. Scents from ingredients like oranges, apples, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, pumpkin pie spice, bay leaves, star anise, ginger, vanilla extract, & all spice all capture the essence of fall time. Experiment with different recipes, there aren't any real rules here. It's as simple as throwing these things into a big pot of water & letting it simmer on your stove all day! Easy peasy & non-toxic.

Thanks for being here & Happy Fall! -A Team
